Swyre – Renovation project

This was a renovation project in Dorset. Initially we completely gutted the house in order to start from scratch and then we organised a remodelling of the existing extension using engineered steel beams. Following on from that we completed a remodelling of the upstairs layout, to form new bedrooms and bathrooms. We then built the new extension to the house to accommodate the client’s new handmade kitchen which we installed; this had a vaulted ceiling with integrated solar powered velux windows at regular intervals, to let in lots of light. We ensured it had a steel frame so that we could maximise the height of the room to make the most of the beautiful views out toward the Jurassic coastline.

Within this project we installed new bathrooms, rewired the house completely, and input a new heating system including underfloor heating throughout the downstairs of the property. We also extended our carpentry services to create bespoke cabinetry in the bedrooms to help maximise the cupboard space for the clients. Outside we organised the landscaping of the entire property with new paving, and retaining walls were built using local Purbeck stone to allow for greater space around the perimeter of the property.
